You always want to give a memorable impression. Although visual is the first sense and the most powerful, it is not alone . And the more senses you stimulate, the more positive influence you create. So in order to invoke the prominent aura , we must utilize all weapons available. ( The fight analogies never stop ).

One of the most powerful yet least appreciated is fragrance. When used properly, it sneaks in and becomes another major force. The key is to make it subtle, because when overpowering it appears more of a cover up for poor hygiene. Your cologne should not enter a room before you nor linger after you exit. A signature fragrance is a very powerful tool.

Once you understand how this can be utilized, we need to take this to the next level. The cologne I use during the day is different than my night one. And if I am going to a social event, as opposed to a drink or dinner, I also have a more formal fragrance. Although I work construction, I wear a light, citrus ( inexpensive) cologne. Yet it always get noticed because it is an unexpected surprise. I like a warm summer fragrance that reminds me of happy , tropical vacations.

Now night calls for a different, fuller scent. I choose a deep masculine cologne because that is my style. I wear a heavy sweater, thick fabrics so a light fragrance doesn’t match. I still keep the fit my primary option , thus keeping true to my character and the image I choose to project. And the more you reinforce that concept to others, the stronger the impression you leave.
